Avoiding negativity is a major key not just in internships but in life. I believe being negative reflects on others and is just an excuse and sometimes viewed as being lazy. It takes more energy to complain about something than to get task done. The second point, never shun a chance to learn more about the company is also a key role in life as well. If you just apply yourself by being willing to learn more that can take you very far and people acknowledge the fact and respect it.
If you approach a task with a positive attitude every time people notice your hard efforts and willingness and you could benefit from it even if you don’t think so. Having regular meetings with your supervisor is a one on one time to get some feedback and ask questions and take notes of how to turn your growth area into strength. You can include your growth areas into your personal goals. How do you want to improve in your internship and what steps are you going to take to get there.
Internship is another learning experience so don’t be afraid to ask questions that’s what you are there for to learn. Get as much exposure as possible to stand out from others and making you known in a positive way. Take initiative by stepping up even if you are not sure just make yourself available.  Network by keeping in contact with people you met by emailing them. Find a mentor within the company that is willing to show you the ropes that will not steer you wrong. Work hard and have fun. Leave with accomplishments.
As an intern I will constantly remind myself of these tip and tricks by writing them down and reviewing them every day before work and during work. Whenever I have time to follow up and refresh my memory of my future goals and tips I should follow I will do so. I look at following up as a way to stay grounded and humble to remember why I am at my internship.
